日本語の発想ではむずかしいかも知れませんが、
この fix は「なくてはならないもの」という意味の名詞です。
I have to drink some coffee in the morning.
ということです。

「根回し」は簡単な表現では consensus building
といえばいいでしょう。コンセンサスは日本語でも言いますね。
